Born in Benevento, Davide Luciano studied under Gioacchino Zarrelli. Over the course of his career, he has performed at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala in Milan, the Vienna State Opera, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, as well as at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro and the Salzburg Festival in the title role of Don Giovanni. He was a member of the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro and has also performed regularly at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
Recently, he has sung roles including Figaro (The Barber of Seville), Count Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), and Lescaut (Manon Lescaut) at the Vienna State Opera; Guglielmo (Così fan tutte) at the Dutch National Opera; Belcore (L’Elixir d’amour) at La Scala in Milan; Sharpless (Madame Butterfly) at the Metropolitan Opera; Zurga (Les Pêcheurs de perles) at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; Marcello (La Bohème) at the Teatro Principal in Mahon; and the title role of Don Giovanni at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. During the 2025–2026 season, he will perform Sharpless in Zurich, Marcello at the Metropolitan Opera, and Escamillo (Carmen) in Venice.
Debut at the Paris Opera.
