Pianists - Vocal coaches
The applications for recruitment auditions of 2026/2027 pianists - coaches of the Academy are now open.
Application deadline: February 5th 2026.
The aim of the Académie de l’Opéra national de Paris is to promote a new generation of artists and craftsmen.
It offers a training program that gives young pianist-coaches on the threshold of their career the best possible opportunities to achieve professional success.
The aim of the Académie is to prepare these young artists for the conditions of their future profession by providing them with exploring all the possibilities of their professional work, experience of the stage and by giving the public the chance to discover their work through concerts and operatic performances.
Above all, it is crucial for them to learn how to interpret a score, understand its intrinsic drama, acquire a sense of musical discipline and discover what it is to be fully committed to a musical and theatrical project.
The mastery of the French language is necessary to make the most out of the courses offered by the Académie.
The program will enable pianists-coaches to acquire specific coaching skills.
The educational program includes:
Coaches are enrolled for one season with the possibility of continuing for one additional season.
Coaches are required to attend the Academy for a minimum of 35 hours per week.
The activities of the Académie will begin on September the 1st of 2026.
No fee will be levied.
Pianist-Coaches are enrolled for one season with the possibility of continuing for one additional season, by decision of the Opéra national de Paris
Pianist-Coaches are engaged in a “contrat de professionnalisation” and will be paid a monthly stipend of 2.200 euros (gross), from September 2026 up to and including June 2027.
Successful candidates undertake to be fully available to the Opéra for the duration of their contract, unless they have been granted written leave. A candidate who has previously signed a contract that could prevent him / her from participating in a Paris Opera production will be eliminated.
Auditions will take place in the Studio Bastille (at the Paris Opera - Bastille) on February 12th and February 20th 2026.
The convening for one or the other date will be sent after the registration deadline, that being February 5th 2026.

The makeup of the jury will be established by the Director of the Academy.
Auditions are not open to the public.
The results will be made known after February 20th 2026.
All decisions of the jury are final.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and no more than 30 years of age on September 1st 2026.
