Clara Guillon Soprano

Biography

Clara Guillon first studied piano before studying opera singing, and graduated in 2016 from the Paris CRR. She is the winner of the Vivonne and the Théâtre de Bordeaux International Competitions, and won the First Woman Prize at the 2018 Marmande International Competition.

She made her stage debut in the Mozart repertoire: Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Despina (Così fan tutte), Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Ilia (Idomeneo), with the Figaro Si Figaro Là and Lyric & Co ensembles, and was Miles (The Turn of the Screw), Vagaus (Juditha Triumphans), Frasquita (Carmen), Giannetta (L’elisir d’amore), Blanche (Dialogues des carmélites) and Bubikopf (Der Kaiser von Atlantis) in France. On the concert stage, she performed Mozart’s Requiem, Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle, Bach’s St John Passion.

She sang in the world premiere of Sprogis’ Mer Noire as Sophia. A member of the Opéra national du Rhin Studio from 2019 to 2021, she sang roles such as L'Amie (Marlène Baleine), Oberto (Alcina), Oyouki (Madame Chrysanthème). She was Susanna in March 2020 in Lille, Rosina (The Barber of Seville) in Marmande, Giannetta (L'elisir d’amore: beau comme un camion!, a touring performance)at the Chorégies d'Orange.

Recently she performed the roles of the Bat, the Owl, and the Shepherdess (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges) for Radio France, Ygraine (Dukas’ Ariane et Barbe-bleue) in Nancy, Jano (Jenůfa) in Rouen, Il Genio and Auralba (Le Amazzoni nell’isole Fortunate by Pallavicino) with Les Talens Lyriques in Potsdam, Pamina (The Magic Flute) in Corsican at Théâtre de Bastia, Nannetta (Falstaff) at Opéra de Lille, in Luxembourg and Caen, the First Nymph (Rusalka) at Opéra de Nice.

Future projects include Echo (Ariadne auf Naxos) in Rouen, Fiammetta (Les Brigands) at the Paris Opera, Jungfrau (Paradise and the Peri) at the Scène Musicale and Musikverein in Vienna.
