Biography

Case Scaglione has been trained by conductors including Alan Gilbert, Jaap van Zweden and David Zinman. He celebrates these days his fourth season as Principal Conductor of the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, Germany, and his third as the Musical Director of the Île-de-France national Orchestra. He was, previously, associated orchestra conductor at the New York philharmonic orchestra and musical Director of the Debut Orchestra of the Young Musicians Foundation in Los Angeles. 

Season 2021-22 included several important debuts as invited conductor, such as performances of Antonín Dvořák and Richard Wagner. Past season highlights included tour in the United-Kingdom (Philharmonic Hall of Liverpool with the Liverpool Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphonic Orchestra). 

For his Hamburg debut with the NDR Orchestra of Elbe, he performed with cellist Steven Isserlis. After season 2021-22 debuts with the Castilla y León Symphonic Orchestra in Valladolid, he returns, to launch the new season, in Spain at the Madrid Teatro Monumental with the RTVE Symphonic Orchestra. 

New season includes a United-States tour with the Utah Symphonic Orchestra and a performance with the Phoenix Symphonic Orchestra. His previous North-American collaborations include performances with the Symphonic Orchestras of New York, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, San Diego and Baltimore. 

In Asia, he also conducted performances with the China Philharmonic Orchestra and the Shanghai and Guangzhou Symphonic Orchestra and was also a regular invited conductor of the Hong-Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. 

He has close working relationships with soloists such as Joshua Bell, Yulianna Avdeeva, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Behzod Abduraimov and Khatia Buniatishvili.
