Ariane Dollfus has been a dance journalist since 1988. A graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris, she is the author of two biographies: Nureyev, the Rebel (Flammarion, 2007, Critic’s Union Prize) and Béjart, the Demiurge (Arthaud, 2017).
She has also translated from English and annotated Nureyev’s autobiography, Intimate Confessions (Arthaud, 2016), and published a Guide to Musical Patronage (La Lettre du Musicien, 2015) as well as Madame Bovary in Lyons-la-Forêt (Département de l’Eure, 2021). She is also a curator of exhibitions.
