Highly acclaimed tenor Andreas Conrad’s multiple skills are shown by his upcoming guest performances in the 2017/2018-season. The season begins with a guest performance at the Opéra national de Paris where he had performed the role of Monostatos in a revival of Mozart’s La Flûte echantée (R. Carsen/ H. Nanasi) in January/ February 2017 and in December 2017 he will be Tcherewin in Patrice Chéreau's production of Aus einem Totenhaus by Leoš Janáček. Since the opening night in 2007 he has been performing this role at numerous international guest performances of this production (i. e. in New York and Milan). In June 2017, Andreas Conrad will gave a guest performance as Mime (Siegfried) at the New National Theatre Tokyo (G. Friedrich/ T. Iimori) where he has already performed the role of Mime in Das Rheingold in 2015. Subsequently he gave his last performances of Mime in Das Rheingold and Siegfried at the terminating Ring-production of the Bayreuth Festival (F. Castorf/ M. Janowski). And in autumn 2017 a guest performance in Franz Schreker's rarely staged opera Die Gezeichneten (in the role of Aviano) in Sankt Gallen. In April 2018 he sings the roles of Olim and the lottery agent in Kurt Weill’s Silbersee in Warsaw. In June he is engaged to the Hamburg State Opera for their world premiere of Peter Ruzicka’s Opera Benjamin, with a revival in November. Andreas Conrad is a welcome guest on the world’s greatest stages. His recent travels led him e.g. to the Opéra National de Paris, the New York Met, the NNT Tokyo, the Munich State Opera, the Vienna State Opera, the Grand Theatre de Genève and the Salzburg Festival. He has been collaborating with distinguished conductors, as for example: P. Jordan, F. Luisi, C. Thielemann and directors, such as C. Bieito, C. Loy, V. Boussard
