Born in Sofia in 1970, Alexandre Pelovski is a violinist of Bulgarian, Russian and French nationality. He completed his musical training at the Lubomir Pipkov School of Music, the National Academy of Music in Sofia, the International Menuhin Academy in Gstaad, and the Conservatoires of Versailles and Paris. He was awarded several distinctions, including gold medals and honorary prizes in violin and chamber music. A prizewinner in national and international competitions, he enjoys a career as a soloist and orchestral musician, performing concertos by Bach, Tchaikovsky, Paganini, Saint-Saëns and Beethoven. He has performed under such conductors as Yehudi Menuhin, Seiji Ozawa, Pierre Boulez and Valery Gergiev. Since 1996, he has been a member of the Orchestre de l'Opéra national de Paris as a violin tutor.
