Agnès Crepel Violin

Biography

Agnès Crepel began playing the violin at the age of nine in 1978 at the Regional Conservatory of Rouen, where she was awarded the gold medal at the age of fourteen.

She continued her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris from 1987 to 1989, the year she successively won first prizes in both chamber music and violin (graduating first with unanimous distinction).

In September 1990, at the age of twenty-one, Agnès Crepel began her career at the Paris Opera as a tutti violinist before being appointed third solo violin in 1997.

In addition, she performs in chamber music programs with her colleagues and, in 2003, recorded Igor Stravinsky's L’Histoire du soldat for the Arion record label.
