Adriana Bignagni Lesca comes from Libreville (Gabon). She joined the choir Le Chant sur La Lowé at the age of 15. At the age of 19, she came to France to study opera singing at the Bordeaux Conservatory, where she won the Young Hope Prize and the Audience Prize at the Friends of the Grand-Théâtre competition, and obtained her Diploma of Musical Studies in opera singing in 2013.
She performs the Secretary (added composition role) in Orpheus in the Underworld at the Bordeaux National Opera, the Angel in Angel of the odd by Bruno Coli at the Verdi Theatre in Pisa and at the Thália Theatre in Budapest, Dvořák’s Stabat Mater with Eufonia. She has performed in numerous recitals and collaborated with the French Cultural Institute of Libreville during the CAL'U Festival, then at the US Embassy in Gabon.
She created the afro-lyric group ARELACOYAVA and took part in the Francofolies de la Rochelle 2014. She is a winner of the Armel Opera Competition in Budapest and won the award for best vocal and stage performance in 2016.
Her latest performances include the role of Louise in La Vie Parisienne, Fatouma in Marouf, Savetier du Caire by Henri Rabaud at the Opéra national de Bordeaux and Opéra Comique, Rossini's Little Solemn Mass at the Opéra national de Bordeaux and on tour, Rossini's Stabat Mater at the Bordeaux Opera Auditorium, Brambilla in La Périchole at the Salzburg Festival and, recently, Rossweissed in The Valkyrie at the Opéra national de Bordeaux, Mistrilla and Brambilla in La Périchole at the Opéra Royal de Versailles and Arbate in Mitridate, re di Ponto at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia.
During the 2021/22 season, she performed in La Fille du régiment (Donizetti Opera Festival), Le Journal d'un disparu (Opéra national du Rhin) and a concert dedicated to Vivaldi with Les Musiciens du Louvre. In July 2022, she will perform Xavier Montsalvatge's Cinco Canciones Negras at the Aix-en-Provence Festival and at the Radio France Montpellier Festival.
