The Paris National Opera is creating its Youth Choir, whose mission will revolve around two main areas:
- Participation in the opera programming on the stages of the Palais Garnier and the Opéra Bastille
- Training in music and performing arts, which will include a specific vocal curriculum, as well as classes in movement and theatrical expression, in order to meet the particular requirements of the institution.
The Youth Choir season will be complemented by its own musical programming, highlighting the talent and skills developed by young singers throughout their training.
Within a stimulating collective environment based on listening, respect, and mutual support in learning, the Youth Choir students follow a musical curriculum organized as a half-day pedagogical schedule:
- Morning: classes at middle school or high school
- Afternoon: artistic practice at the Paris Opera
The training is entirely free of charge.
Directed by Morgan Jourdain, the Youth Choir is open to all children, boys and girls, sopranos or altos, who wish to explore the performing arts of opera through intensive vocal and musical practice.
Enrollment for the auditions of ADO – Paris Opera's Youth Choir is conducted exclusively online via the Paris Opera website.
It is open to all young singers, boys and girls, sopranos and altos, entering grades 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 in the 2026–2027 school year, who wish to train in the performing arts of opera.
Enrollment for the 2026–2027 season is open from December 1, 2025, to January 21, 2026.
