Subscription to the RING Festival 2026 requires the simultaneous purchase of at least 10 seats, all in the same category, for each of the four performances of Cycle 1 (6, 7, 10 and 13 November 2026) or Cycle 2 (15, 17, 19 and 22 November 2026). The composition of each cycle is fixed: it is not possible to change the dates or to combine performances from different cycles.

Each ticket for the RING Festival 2026 includes:

• Admission to a performance, with the date and time indicated on the ticket;
• Refreshments during an interval for each performance of Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung (Das Rheingold does not include an interval).

A RING Festival 2026 subscription also grants access to exclusive benefits reserved for Festival-goers, namely:

• Free access, subject to availability, to events organised by the Paris Opera as part of the RING Festival 2026 (more information here);
• Free access to the Paris Opera Play streaming platform for six months. The offer is valid from 6 November 2026 (a specific code will be emailed to festival-goers no later than 6 November 2026);
• All the advantages made available to individual subscribers: priority booking for 2026/2027 season subscriptions, promotional offers throughout the year, discounts at the Paris Opera shops, etc. (full list of benefits available on operadeparis.fr/en).

Groups have access to categories Optima to 8 at the Bastille Opera and are entitled to a 20% discount on their subscription.

Subscription requests may be made from 12 November 2025 by the designated group contact person (group leader or representative). Request to take out an option on tickets will be processed in the order in which they are received and subject to the allocation limits.

Requests for group bookings may be made as follows:

• operadeparis.fr after logging in as a group;
• email by sending a detailed request (choice of cycle, seat category and number of seats) to groupes@operadeparis.fr.

Subscription requests for the RING Festival 2026 accepted by the Paris Opera will be expressly confirmed by the Opera within a maximum of three weeks. If no response is received, the designated group contact person should get in touch with the Group Bookings Service on +33 (0)1 40 01 80 54 (from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm, Monday to Friday) or at groupes@operadeparis.fr.

A group booking can only be considered as accepted subject to the Group Bookings Service sending the contact person a written confirmation to this effect, setting out the details of the order (performances, price category, number of seats, unit price and total amount). If a group booking request cannot be met in the seating category originally requested, the confirmation may cover seats in a higher or lower category.

On receiving the details of the confirmed order, it is recommended that the details be checked. Upon receiving these details, any request for modification must be made to groupes@operadeparis.fr

An option may be placed for a minimum of 10 seats for each performance within a cycle and in the same category.

If the customer does not receive email confirmation of the order within one day, they should contact the Paris Opera at groupes@operadeparis.fr.    

If any members of the group have a disability, the group contact person must inform the Group Bookings Service before payment of the order and at least two weeks prior to the first performance of the chosen cycle. Upon presentation of proof (level of disability of at least 80%), a 50% discount will be applied for both the customer with a disability and for one companion. This discount cannot be combined with any other offers.

Front-of-house staff are not required to assist customers with disabilities in moving around the theatres.

The Paris Opera offers cancellation insurance, which must be taken out at the same time as subscribing to the RING Festival 2026 covered by the policy. This insurance can be purchased on operadeparis.fr, by post, or by telephone.

A 30-day cooling-down period applies. The cancellation insurance is linked to one or more tickets and applies to the entire order. Details of the cancellation insurance conditions can be found on operadeparis.fr.

All prices are given in the euro currency and include VAT.

The Paris Opera reserves the right to modify the price or seat category of performances at any time. However, such changes will not affect the price of requests that have already been confirmed by the Paris Opera.
Any method of payment not provided for in these general terms and conditions of sale will be refused by the Paris Opera. Payments from companies, including bank transfers from a business, are not accepted.

Options must be paid by the deadlines indicated on the option confirmation details. If payment is not received by the deadline, the seats will automatically be released for sale. Once payment is received, the order is final and cannot be exchanged, cancelled, or modified.

Full payment can be made by:

• Credit card or American Express;
• One single cheque made payable to the Paris Opera (land mail or box offices). Foreign cheques in euros must be payable in France. The amount must be clearly indicated, and the cheque must be made out to the Opéra national de Paris. The Paris Opera cannot be held liable for any issues in relating to cheques not bearing this information;
• One single bank transfer: the Paris Opera’s bank details are provided on request from the Group Bookings Service. The customer’s number and order reference number shown on the order details must be given with the bank transfer.
• Instalment payment: this must be made via monthly direct debits (only for countries within the SEPA zone) and is subject to an additional €10 handling fee per order (excluding postage), which will be included in the first direct debit. Direct debit requests must be submitted no later than 30 May 2026. The first direct debit will be collected on the 10th of the month following the processing of the request. Subsequent debits will be made according to the schedule provided to the group contact. It is essential to include with your submission the original completed and signed SEPA mandate and an IBAN (RIB)

Payment for firm purchases is made in a single instalment:

• by credit card or American Express;
• gift voucher(s), credit voucher(s), or account credit.

In accordance with Article L 221-28 of the French Consumer Code, performance tickets purchased online are not eligible for a cooling-down period. 

No group tickets may be collected directly from the Paris Opera, unless specifically agreed.

Upon receiving the tickets, customers are asked to check that they match their order. Any issues regarding an order should be notified without delay at +33 (0)1 40 01 80 54 and confirmed by email to the Paris Opera Group Service (groupes@operadeparis.fr).

Tickets are made available to the designated contact person who will be responsible for forwarding them to the group members. Depending on the format chosen, they are:

• Printable or downloadable by the designated contact person via their group space.
• sent by land mail in hard-copy format. Tickets sent by standard post (no later than two weeks before the date of the first performance) will incur a handling fee of €6 per shipment for France and €8 per shipment for other countries. Registered post will incur a fee of €10 per dispatches to France and €15 for other countries.

For subscriptions paid by direct debit, the tickets will be made available in the group area of the designated contact person or sent by post according to the payment schedule.

In the event of a direct debit being rejected by the bank, the Paris Opera will postpone sending the tickets until the following month, when the direct debit request will be resubmitted to the bank.

These tickets will be made available to the designated contact person who will be responsible for forwarding them to the group members. Depending on the format chosen, they are:

• printable or downloadable via the designated contact person through its group space
• sent by land mail in hard-copy format when the subscription is taken out by mail or online. Tickets sent by standard post (no later than two weeks before the date of the first performance) will incur a fixed administration fee of €4 per order. Sending by registered post (only in mainland France) will be charged at €8 per order (including administration fees).

Any change of postal address, email address or designated contact person must be immediately reported to the Group Bookings Service.

No refund will be due from the Paris Opera if the order cannot be delivered due to a change not reported in accordance with the above provisions. If the tickets have not been received by the interested party 8 days before the date of the performance, the contact person should get in touch with the Group Bookings Service on +33 (0)1 40 01 80 54 (Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, except public holidays) or at groupes@operadeparis.fr.

The Paris Opera cannot be held responsible for the loss, theft or delay in the delivery of tickets.

No duplicate of a hard-copy ticket will be issued, except with the specific agreement of the Paris Opera, and then only for allocated seats booked.

In such cases, duplicates are collected one hour before the performance at ticket office number 2 (reception desk located in the lobby of the Bastille Opera). Requests for duplicates must be made by the designated contact person at least 3 working days before the performance to the Group Bookings Service.

The issue of a duplicate invalidates and replaces the original ticket.

The Paris Opera reserves the right to modify performances, including presenting a concert version if all the necessary prerequisites to stage the performance as originally planned are not met. The Paris Opera also reserves the right to change the casting.

In the event of a performance being cancelled by the Paris Opera, the face value of the ticket purchased from the Opera will be refunded within a maximum of four weeks to the person or organisation that paid for the order, excluding any other form of compensation or indemnity. These conditions do not apply in cases of force majeure, which expressly include general work strikes and the requisition or closure of the Opera imposed by any public authority for reasons of public order.

If a performance is interrupted at any time once more than halfway through the performance, the ticket will not be refunded.

In the event of multiple printouts of an e-ticket, the first ticket used upon entering the auditorium will invalidate any subsequent copies. Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded (except where cancellation insurance has been taken out and in cases covered by said insurance) nor resold.

Festival-goers can avail of a free service to exchange all their tickets for the other cycle, subject to availability. Exchanges can be made by telephone with the Group Bookings Service, no later than 10 working days before 6 November 2026. It is not permitted to exchange a date from one cycle for a date in the other cycle. If the new seats chosen are at a higher price, the customer requesting the change must pay the difference. If the new seats are at a lower price, a voucher for the difference will be issued by the Paris Opera.

Any holder of a ticket purchased from the Paris Opera is strictly prohibited, under penalty of possible legal action, from using it for promotional or commercial purposes. Unless specifically authorised by the Paris Opera, the sale, resale or exchange of tickets is strictly forbidden and subject to the penalties set out in the Penal Code (law of 27 June 1919). Accordingly, the Paris Opera reserves the right to refuse admission to any performance to anyone holding a ticket purchased from any organisation other than the Paris Opera or a duly authorised third party.

Any customer failing to comply with instructions given by Opera staff or behaving rudely towards others (staff or customers) will be asked to leave the premises.

Performance tickets do not grant access to any backstage or public spaces of the theatres open as part of guided tours.

Admission is only permitted on presentation of a valid performance ticket, as checked when entering the auditorium. Each ticket entitles the holder to one seat only. The seat number given on the ticket must be respected.

Except for those performances specifically intended for them, children under the age of five are not permitted in the auditoriums. Children up to the age of fourteen must be seated next to a supervising adult.

For security reasons, screening is carried out before entering each theatre. It is recommended that customers arrive 45 minutes before the start of the performance which always starts punctually as given on the ticket and the website. The auditorium doors are closed once the performance has started. Out of respect for the audience and the performers, late-comers will only be seated at the interval, if the performance includes one. For safety reasons, the venue’s main doors are closed 15 minutes after the performance begins.

Appropriate attire is required. Luggage and travel bags, as well as personal transport devices, motorised or not (except for those for persons with reduced mobility) are not permitted in the auditorium or cloakrooms. Batteries from electric bicycles must be deposited in a fireproof cabinet before entering the auditorium. A complete list of prohibited items in the theatres is available on operadeparis.fr.

The sale or distribution of any product or item within the Opera premises is prohibited. Photography, filming, or recording of all or part of the performance is not allowed. Likewise, food and drinks are not allowed inside the auditorium.

The designated contact person has the option of purchasing one or more vouchers to be exchanged for the four programmes of the performances indicated on the voucher. Vouchers can be purchased when ordering tickets for shows. In the case of an online sale, the sale will be effective upon receiving the email confirming that the sale has been completed successfully.

In accordance with Article L 221-18 of the French Consumer Code, a 14-day withdrawal period applies to the remote purchase of vouchers for show programmes

Vouchers are dispatched in the same way as tickets.

Vouchers are non-refundable.

The programme voucher for the RING 2026 festival can be redeemed from the first performance of the show in question, at the ticket offices and at the bookshop of the Bastille Opera. Vouchers for a given show can also be redeemed from the programme vendors on the day of that show. Voucher redemption is only guaranteed up to the final performance of the show concerned.

Loss or theft: no duplicate will be issued for lost or stolen vouchers.

Any claims or complaints must be submitted within 8 calendar days following the event in question and addressed to the Paris Opera by phone at +33 (0)1 73 60 25 25, by email at service.spectateurs@operadeparis.fr, or by land mail to: Service Spectateurs, Opéra national de Paris, 120 rue de Lyon, 75576 Paris cedex 12 FRANCE. The postmark will serve as proof of the date of submission.

Any customers benefiting from special conditions of access to performances at the Paris Opera, under agreements between the Opera and a partner (theatre, museum, transport provider, etc.), may not, under any circumstances, hold the Paris Opera responsible for any failure by that partner to fulfil its obligations.
