This recital highlights composers who, each in their own way, have reimagined the spirit of Slavic song: Tchaikovsky’s rich melodic imagination, Havrylets’ emotional power, Shostakovich’s dark humor and vivid imagery, and Rachmaninoff’s lyricism.
