In few words:
Each year, the artists of the Academy have the privilege to perform on the stage of the Garnier with the Paris Opera Orchestra. This gala evening is also a special time for the spectators to discover a new generation of lyrical artists, performing in one of the most beautiful opera halls in the world. This year, conductor Vello Pähn will lead the concert. Today a regular guest of the Paris Opera, he first conducted Sleeping Beauty at the Palais Garnier in 1988. Appreciated by the Paris Opera Ballet, he was also invited to conduct major works of the lyrical repertoire, such as Madama Butterfly at the Bastille Opera in 2008. He first encountered the artists of the Academy in January 2020 at the Palais Garnier for the revival of Ravel’s The Child and the Spells.
