Synopsis
The Romanian mezzo‐soprano has chosen to sing a rarely performed cycle:
the Seven Songs of Clément Marot by George Enescu—a collection of
melodies in which the composer reworks the love poems in a refined and polished
style to recreate the magic of the Renaissance. The evening will conclude with
Robert Schumann's masterpiece, Frauen-Liebe und Leben.
