Synopsis
Vivid, powerful, rhythmic, energetic – this is the dance universe created by the choreographer Faris Berki, a pioneer of French Hip-hop. Keen to pass on his art and to create new performance spaces, to break down the barriers between artistic fields, he revisits The Firebird composed by Stravinsky, opening it up to the world of today. Floor work gives way to aerial moves: pounding rhythms, hip-swinging confrontations and headspins. Everything is there to remind us that urban dance can perfectly follow the contours of the music of a great composer from the beginning of the 20th century.
