Synopsis
This concert is a tribute to Serge Collot , principal viola of the Paris Opera Orchestra and viola teacher of large part of French violists. On this occasion, musicians of the Paris Opera’s Orchestra will perform some of the most fascinating pieces of the contemporary repertoire for viola, including Luciano Berio’s Sequenza for Viola and extracts from Paul Hindemith’s first Viola sonata. The concert includes the projection of several extracts of the documentary film L’ouvrage de Serge Collot, (Dominique Pernoo, 2002).
