AROP and the Paris Opera launch the International Council of the Paris Opera & Ballet
AROP and the Paris Opera are pleased to announce the launch of the Paris Opera International Council, an initiative designed to bring together patrons from around the world in support of the artistic, cultural, and international ambitions of France’s leading opera and ballet institution. Building on more than 350 years of history while looking firmly toward the future, the Paris Opera seeks to engage those who already share a special connection with the institution, as well as those who wish to forge one.
The International Council is intended for philanthropists who wish to engage closely with and support the Paris Opera’s opera and ballet programming, while serving as ambassadors for its international initiatives, including tours by its opera and ballet companies.
Throughout the season, members of the International Council will enjoy a privileged connection to the Paris Opera through an exclusive program that includes access to rehearsals, meetings with artists, private backstage visits, and participation in key moments of the season. Members will also be invited to a range of exclusive online events and international gatherings.
Through the International Council, the Paris Opera reaffirms its commitment to remaining a vibrant institution open to the world, sharing the richness of its programming with the widest possible audience, and building an international community united by a common passion: sustaining and promoting opera and ballet across borders and generations.
For this inaugural season, internationally acclaimed American soprano Renée Fleming has graciously agreed to serve as the Artistic Ambassador of the International Council. Through her extraordinary artistic career, her longstanding relationship with the Paris Opera, and her commitment to nurturing future generations of artists and audiences, she embodies the spirit of international engagement that the Council seeks to foster.
Mrs. Sana H. Sabbagh has joined the Council Committee as Chair of the Ambassadors Circle, reflecting her pioneering support of this initiative.
