Artist in residence at the Academy since September 2026
Originally from China, Yiming Liu graduated from the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music in Hangzhou, where he studied with baritone Xiaoyong Yang.
A member of the International Opera Academy since 2025, he has performed, among others, the roles of Ferrando (Così fan tutte) at the Bourla Theatre and Laurie in Mark Adamo’s Little Women. His repertoire also includes Tamino (The Magic Flute) and Nemorino (The Elixir of Love) at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music Theatre, Rodolfo (La Bohème) at Teatro Pacini, as well as Ferrando (Così fan tutte) at the Bourla Theatre.
A prize-winner in numerous competitions, Yiming Liu received Third Prize at the Sesto Bruscantini Vocal Competition, Second Prize at the Klaudia Taev International Competition (2025), and the Jury Special Prize at the Lanzhou International Singing Competition.
Yiming Liu joined the Academy of the Paris National Opera in September 2026.
