Biography

Born in Japan, Yasuko Arita obtained her diploma in opera singing from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, as well as a master's degree. In 2005, she entered the Paris Conservatoire where she obtained her diploma with honours.

She joined the National Centre of Professional Integration of Opera Artists for the 2009/10 season. She portrayed Lucia (Cavalleria rusticana) and Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro).

She is invited to major French operatic venues, including the Salle Pleyel and the Opera Houses of Marseille, Bordeaux, Avignon, Saint-Étienne and Toulon. Since 2013, Yasuko Arita has been a tenured artist in the Paris Opera Chorus.
