Biography
At the age of 16, Virgile Chorlet did an introductory internship at the Marcel Marceau International School of Mime in Paris and decided to make it his career. After obtaining his baccalaureate, he returned there to train and graduated in 2002.
He began working as a mime in a burlesque duo within his company Troppo stretto. He then joined the company Les éléphants roses, with which he won the Paris Jeunes Talents award in 2002.
He played the role of the Angel of Time in the show L’Ami by his former teacher Emmanuel Vacca. Over the past 25 years, he has performed both in the field of classical mime and contemporary mime. His encounter with Jérôme Murat allowed him to deepen his art and to perform La Statue aux deux têtes, a piece he has been performing around the world for more than ten years. During the 2024–2025 season, he is appearing at the Royal Palace cabaret in Kirrwiller.
