A graduate of the École Normale de Musique de Paris, French countertenor Théo Imart was selected for the 9th edition of the Jardin des Voix under the direction of William Christie and Paul Agnew.
He received a special prize from the Amsterdam National Opera during the final of the 41st Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition. His roles include Idamante (Idomeneo), Cherubino (The Marriage of Figaro), Oreste (La Belle Hélène), and Marc (La Vieille Maison). With Les Arts Florissants, he sang Ramiro (La finta giardiniera) on a European tour. In October 2023, he made his debut at the Theater St. Gallen in the world premiere of Tobias Picker’s Lili Elbe, performing the roles of the Danish Countess, Dagmar, and the Matron. He returned shortly afterward for The Fairy Queen.
He regularly collaborates with the Royal Versailles Orchestra on various programs, such as 3 Countertenors, and participated in an Asian tour in April 2024, performing nine concerts across China. In the summer of 2025, he returns to Aix-en-Provence, where he was previously a member of the Academy, to sing the role of Destino (La Calisto). During the 2025–2026 season, he will perform in concerts at the Royal Opera of Versailles and at the Festival des Nuits Musicales d’Uzès, among other engagements.
