Member of the Chorus of the Paris Opera
Born in Seoul, Taesung Lee studied classical singing in Korea at Hanyang University (Seoul). In 2009, he joined the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan to continue his studies, where he notably performed the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto) at the Sala Verdi.
In 2013, he joined CNIPAL, with which he gave numerous concerts at the Opéra de Marseille, in Avignon, and in Toulon. He has won several awards, including Second Prize at the Simionato International Competition (Acqui Terme, 2015) and Second Prize at the Fraschini International Competition (Pavia, 2015).
He performed Alfredo (La Traviata) at the Teatro Sociale di Balmuccia (Vercelli) in 2012, Lieder by Brahms and Schumann at the Sala delle Colonne (Rho) in 2015, Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) at the Sarzana Festival Opera in 2016, and Calaf (Turandot) at the National Theatre Sofia in 2017. He has been a member of the Chorus of the Paris Opera since 2019.
