Biography
A graduate of the ENS Louis Lumières, Sylvain Verdet has been a partner of the film director Clément Cogitore for several years. He has worked with him on several short films, documentaries and video works as well as on his first full-length feature, Neither Heaven nor Earth, a contemporary war film about a group of French soldiers on a mission in the Afghan mountains. That film received a CST Award for Best Cinematography at the 2016 Lumière Awards. Sylvain Verdet has also worked with Sébastien Betbeder on 2 Autumns, 3 Winters (2013) and Marie and the Misfits (2016). He also collaborated with Bertrand Mandico on the short film Apocalypse After which was screened in the International Critics’ Week section of the Cannes Film Festival in 2018.
Sylvain Verdet is making his Paris Opera debut.
