Sabisha Friedberg is a composer and multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the perceptual boundaries of space through sound, sculpture, light, and visual media. She holds a master's degree in music and sound from Bard College and the San Francisco Art Institute and has presented her work at the Swiss Institute, Audio Visual Arts (New York), EMPAC (Troy, New York), The Kitchen, the ISSUE Project Room, the Clocktower Gallery, the ICA London, the Villa Noailles (Hyères), and Blank Forms (Brooklyn), where she created Traversions. Sabisha Friedberg has received commissions from EMPAC, the ISSUE Project Room, the Clocktower Gallery, and the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.
Her major works include AUDITORIUM (Knockdown Centre, Queens), LEVITATION: Universe — Flex — Triad (Audio Visual Arts, New York) and a solo performance at the Palais Royal in Paris with the Ministry of Culture. Her recordings include The Hant Variance (Distributed Objects) and a contribution to MoMA's double LP There Will Never Be Silence. Based in Paris, she continues to develop international projects combining composition, performance and installation.
