Ryoko Hisayama Piano

Biography

Born in Tokyo, Ryoko Hisayama began playing the piano at the age of four. After her musical studies with Naoyuki Inoue, she was admitted to the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris and in 1990 she graduated from Germaine Mounier's class. She then entered the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris in Gérard Frémy's class, and in 1994 was awarded first prizes in piano and chamber music

There followed two years of advanced studies with Jacques Rouvier. Ryoko Hisayama has won numerous international competitions, in particular the Franz Schubert International Competition in Dortmund, Germany in 1999. She has participated in several festivals (Piano en Saintonge, Pierrefonds, Musée d'Orsay, Salle Cortot, Rencontres Chopin in Nohant).

She gives regular concerts in France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, and has recorded for Radio France. Since 2007, she has been a pianist with the Paris Opera Ballet.
