Biography

Ramon Theobald is a native of Brazil and graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He spent one year of his studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, thanks to a scholarship from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst. 

In 2019, he joins the Accademia Georg Solti in Venice, where he works with Richard Bonynge, Jonathan Papp, Anthony Legge and Rodrigo de Vera. He perfects his skills, throughout the 2020-2021 season, at the Fabbrica of the Rome Opera. 

From 2016 to 2019, he worked at the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, on productions of Gounod's Faust, Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera, Bellini's Norma and Janáček's Jenůfa. He accompanies renowned opera artists in their master classes: Jessica Pratt, Lawrence Brownlee, Vittorio Grigolo, Michael Fabiano, Yusif Eyvazov, Lisette Oropesa, Saimir Pirgu and Alex Esposito. He is the recipient of numerous national awards and has given numerous recitals in Brazil and Germany. 

Ramon Theobald joined the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris in September 2021.
