Ramon Theobald is a Brazilian pianist and vocal coach. He has been awarded prizes in many prestigious national piano competitions and has played solo recitals in Brazil, Germany and Italy. Alongside his solo and chamber music career, he has been developing correpetition skills since he was 17 years old, when he started accompanying the choir “Canarinhos de Petrópolis” in his hometown, Petrópolis. From 2016 to 2019 he has worked at the Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro. During this period, he collaborated in production of Faust by Gounod, Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky, Un Ballo in Maschera by Verdi, Norma by Bellini and Jenůfa by Janáček. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), of which one year was completed at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe with a scholarship from DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst). In 2019 he won a scholarship to the Georg Solti Accademia in Venice, where he worked with Richard Bonynge, Jonathan Papp, Anthony Legge and Rodrigo de Vera. He has played in masterclasses of for performers such as Jessica Pratt, Lawrence Brownlee, Vittorio Grigolo, Michael Fabiano, Yusif Eyvazov, Lisette Oropesa, Saimir Pirgu and Alex Esposito. A member of la Fabbrica dell’Opera di Roma from 2020 to 2021, Ramon Theobal Saebra Da Cruz joined the Paris Opera Academy in September 2021.
