Patricia Nolz Mezzo-soprano

Biography

Since beginning her studies in lied and oratorio with Florian Boesch and Claudia Visca at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in 2019, Patricia Nolz has won the Casinos Austria Rising Star Award, prizes at the MAJO Vienna Music Competition and the Osaka Music Competition, as well as an Anny Felbermayer Scholarship.

She joined the ensemble of the Vienna State Opera during the 2022–2023 season and received the Austrian Musical Theatre Award for Zerlina in Barrie Kosky’s production of Don Giovanni. During the 2025–2026 season, she will make her debut as Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier) at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin and as Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel) at the Opéra National du Rhin. She will return to the Vienna State Opera as Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro) and tour Japan with the company.

In concert, she has performed with Ensemble Wien at the Musikverein in Vienna, with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra at the Wiener Konzerthaus, in Bach’s Magnificat with the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, and Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Berlin Philharmonie. She has made her debut as a lied singer at the Musikverein in Vienna, the Wigmore Hall in London, and in Leeds.

Debut at the Paris Opera.
