Biography

Mimi Jordan Sherin has worked for the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, the New York Metropolitan Opera, Milan’s La Scala, Venice’s La Fenice, Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre, Munich’s Bayerische Staatsoper, the Vienna Staatsoper, the English National Opera, the Glyndebourne Festival, the Welsh National Opera, the Opera North, the New Tokyo Opera, the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, the Lyric Opera in Chicago, the Houston Grand Opera, the Royal Danish Opera, the Zurich Opera, the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, the Bregenz Festival, Opera Australia, the Rhine Opera, the Canadian Opera Company of Toronto, the New York City Opera, the Colorado Opera, the Glimmerglass Opera, and in venues in Lisbon, Frankfurt, Basle, Hamburg, Seattle, Washington, Boston, San Diego, and Santa Fe... 

She has applied her talents in several London theatres (Young Vic, Old Vic, Almeida, Royal Court, National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, West End). The productions in which she has most recently participated include Three Tall Women on Broadway, La Bohème at the Royal Opera House, The Twilight Zone at the Almeida Theatre, and Romeo and Juliet at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Ariodante at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valence..

She has been honoured by the American Theatre Wing and earned an Obie Award, an Eddy Award as well as nominations for a Tony and a Drama Desk award.
