Marie-Luise Dreßen performs on major international opera stages and has collaborated with conductors such as Christian Thielemann, Kent Nagano, Alan Gilbert, Philippe Jordan, Donald Runnicles, Dan Ettinger, Semyon Bychkov, Cornelius Meister, Edward Gardner, and Ivor Bolton.
Her repertoire includes the roles of Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier), the Composer (Ariadne auf Naxos), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel), the title role in La Cenerentola, as well as numerous Wagnerian roles.
Recently, she has sung Octavian at the Tiroler Landestheater and the Composer at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. In 2024, she undertook a European tour with Kent Nagano in a historically informed performance of Die Walküre and made her debut at the Philharmonie de Paris.
During the 2025–2026 season, she will tour Europe with Kent Nagano, the Dresdner Festspielorchester, and Concerto Köln; make her role debut as the Second Norn (Götterdämmerung); and appear as the Composer at the Tiroler Landestheater, as well as Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) and the Second Norn at Oper Leipzig.
