Based in New York, Marc Urselli is a sound engineer, producer, mixer, and sound designer. He has been nominated seven times for Grammy Awards, winning three. A former resident of EastSide Sound, he opened his own studio, Audio Confidential, in 2026. He has collaborated with U2, Foo Fighters, Nick Cave, Lou Reed, Frank Sinatra, Les Paul, Laurie Anderson, Sting, Jack DeJohnette, John Patitucci, Ornette Coleman, Charlotte Gainsbourg, The Beach Boys, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Mike Patton, Keith Richards, Sam Cooke, and Luther Vandross.
In theater and opera, he has worked with Peter Sellars, Julian Crouch, and composers such as Tyshawn Sorey, Susie Ibarra, Du Yun, John Zorn, Paola Prestini, and Missy Mazzoli, in venues including the Park Avenue Armory, Philharmonie de l’Elbe, Amsterdam National Opera, Palazzo Grassi, MASS MoCA, and the New Victory Theater.
He has created sound compositions and installations for Julie Mehretu, Federico Solmi, Arianna Carossa, and Nicolás Rupcich, presented at events including the 2024 Venice Biennale and the Museo de Arte Moderno in Santiago. In September 2025, he collaborated with Marianela de La Hoz for the exhibition Palpitations at the San Diego Museum of Art.
Debuts at the Paris National Opera.
