Biography
Artist in residence at the Academy since September 2026
Born in Colombia, Kevin Arboleda Oquendo studied singing with Luz María Cuenca before joining the Notre-Dame de Paris Choir School in 2019 and the Paris Conservatoire (Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris) in 2021.
A member of the Opera Fuoco Atelier Lyrique from 2024 to 2026, he performed the roles of Apollo (Apollo e Dafne) and Sam (Trouble in Tahiti) at the Opéra de Massy and the Philharmonie de Paris. During the 2025/2026 season, he joined Le Jardin des Voix – Les Arts Florissants, where he notably performed the role of Pluto (Orphée aux enfers).
He has appeared as a soloist in several major sacred and symphonic works, including Handel’s Messiah, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Missa Solemnis, Monteverdi’s Vespers, and Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor. In 2023, he took part in the U.S. tour of Fauré’s Requiem with the Notre-Dame de Paris Choir School. He has also appeared in a number of staged and symphonic productions, including Le Vol du Boli at the Théâtre du Châtelet, Mozart’s Requiem at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Handel’s Dixit Dominus at the Opéra de Clermont-Ferrand and the Opéra de Vichy, and Bach’s St John Passion at the Collège des Bernardins.
Kevin Arboleda Oquendo joined the Academy of the Paris National Opera in September 2026.
