Biography

Born in Tokyo, Keika Kawashima obtained her superior diploma of concert performer in 2019 with the congratulations of the jury at the École Normale de Musique de Paris where she studied with Régis Pasquier. She continued her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris where she obtained her master’s degree in 2022 in the class of Stéphanie Marie Degand.

In 2017, she won the first prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Karlsruhe (Germany) with the Trio Giselle. She took part in La Folle Journée in Japan as a member of the Ensemble Curiosité in 2016 and performed in 2019 Salle Cortot in Paris with pianist Natsu Aoki with whom she formed the Duo Forsythias. In 2021, she participates in the tour of the ensemble Les Apaches directed by Julien Masmondet.

Keika Kawashima joined the Académie de l’Opéra national de Paris in September 2022.
