Julien Malait Violin

Biography

In 2011, after studying at the CRR regional Conservatory in Angers, he joined the class of Suzanne Gessner at the CRR regional Conservatory in Paris, then the class of Marianne Piketty at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon. In 2014, he obtained his Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel as a musician as well as a degree in Music and Musicology at the University of Lyon 2. He studied the string quartet in the class of Agnès Sulem and Yovan Markovitch during which time he participated in numerous master classes with artists like Laurent Korcia, Marc Danel, Roman Nodel, Michaël Frischenschlager, Christian Altenburger and Avedis Kouyoumdjan. A member of the Arethusa Quartet, he honed his techniques in the Debussy Quartet class at the CRR regional Conservatory in Lyon and participated in several festivals. As of September 2015, he will be in residence at the Paris Opera’s Academy.
