Biography

Isabelle Escalier won the Singing Gold Medal at the Saint-Raphaël Conservatory and was a finalist in the Voix Nouvelles de Toulon Singing competition. She also took part in the singing masterclasses of the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, led by Shirley Verret and Alfredo Kraus. She then completed her vocal studies with soprano Slavska Taskova Paoletti.

In 1993, she made her professional operatic debut as Gilda (Rigoletto) in Russia. In 1994, she joined the Paris Opera Chorus and has since pursued a career as a soloist. She likes to perform in a wide range of musical genres and regularly gives concerts as soloist in the Ile-de-France region: Mozart’s Mass in C minor, Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana.
