Artist in residence at the Academy since September 2026
Originally from the United States, Grace Heldridge graduated from the University of Kansas and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she studied with Rebecca Folsom.
A member of the Opera Studio of the Komische Oper Berlin from 2024 to 2026, she performed, among others, the roles of Flora (La Traviata), Ein Sklave (Salome), and Amy Lawrence (Tom Sawyer). Her repertoire also includes Cherubino (The Marriage of Figaro), Dorothée (Cendrillon), Sesto (Giulio Cesare), Hermia (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Annio (The Clemency of Titus). She regularly performs in the United States, where she has sung Ravel’s Shéhérazade with the Brookline Symphony Orchestra, Mozart’s Requiem with the Glens Falls Symphony, and Bach’s cantata BWV 140 with the Trinity Choir.
A prize-winner in numerous competitions, she was a semi-finalist in the Cesti Competition in Innsbruck and the Handel Singing Competition in London (2025). She also won the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, First Prize at the Wilkinson Young Singers Fund Competition, the Encouragement Prize at the Opera Laffont Competition, and First Prize at the Barbara Rondelli Statewide Vocal Competition.
Grace Heldridge joined the Academy of the Paris National Opera in September 2026.
