Biography
Artist in Residence at the Academy since September 2026
Gabrielle Jossaud graduated from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne with a bachelor’s degree in Film Studies in 2023. Passionate about set design, she specialises in the design and creation of sets for film and theatre productions.
Between 2023 and 2025, she continued to develop her multidisciplinary approach, heading the set decoration, scenography and construction departments on a variety of projects, ranging from adaptations of Aristophanes to music videos and contemporary fiction.
In 2026, she completed an apprenticeship and obtained a CAP vocational qualification in carpentry under the supervision of a master craftsperson. She further developed her skills through woodturning placements with a Meilleur Ouvrier de France award-winning ornamental sculptor, as well as in heritage carpentry through the REMPART network.
Gabrielle Jossaud joined the Paris Opera Academy in September 2026.
