Farrah El Dibany Mezzo-soprano

Farrah El Dibany, born in 1989 in Alexandria, Egypt, is a renowned mezzo-soprano. She began studying the piano at the age of 10 before turning to singing. Trained in Egypt and then at the Hanns-Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin, she obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in opera singing. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in architecture from Berlin's Technische Universität. She has distinguished herself in solo viola roles in classical works such as Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater" and Mozart's "Requiem".

Farrah took part in the recording of "The Book of the Dead" by Sherif Mohie El Dins, sung in hieroglyphics. Since 2011, she has studied with renowned singers and participated in numerous masterclasses. She has sung in various European opera houses, interpreting roles ranging from Handel to Strauss. Her performance of Carmen in Berlin earned her Opernwelt Magazine's award for Best Emerging Opera Artist. Since 2016, she has been in residence at the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris, performing a variety of roles.

She has been awarded several prizes, including the "Prix Lyrique de l'AROP" and was named Chevalier de l'ordre des arts et des lettres by France. Farrah is also active on the international scene, singing in prestigious venues and collaborating with major institutions. She has performed at major events such as the Beiteddine Art Festival and interpreted the Marseillaise at historic moments, including the FIFA 2022 final match.
