© Ezio Bosso
Born in Turin on September 13, 1971, Ezio Bosso was an Italian pianist, double bassist, composer, and conductor. Coming from a working-class background, he developed an early interest in music and began playing the piano before the age of four.
At 16, he made his debut as a soloist in Lyon. He then studied composition and conducting at the Vienna Academy of Music. As a soloist, conductor, and composer, he collaborated with prestigious orchestras and venues around the world (Carnegie Hall, Teatro Colón, Sydney Opera House, London Symphony Orchestra…) and composed for ballet, opera, and film.
In 2011, after surgery for a brain tumor, he was diagnosed with a neurodegenerative syndrome that progressively affected his mobility. Despite this challenge, he continued his artistic work, conducting and performing until his final years. He passed away in Bologna in May 2020 at the age of 48.
