Biography

Evann Loget-Raymond is a musician born in 1997 in Brittany. He divides his time between conducting, composing, and performing as a countertenor. In Brittany and Paris, he studied singing, conducting, and composition, notably with Richard Quesnel, Marc Korovitch, Louis-Marie Vigne, and Philippe Jaroussky.

Since his first experience as a chorister, from the age of 6 to 17, at the Académie de Musique et d'Arts Sacrés de Sainte-Anne-d'Auray, Evann has continued to practice polyphony as well as solo singing, performing with ensembles such as the Trinity Hall College Choir (Andrew Arthur), Les Cris de Paris (Geoffroy Jourdain), the Orchestre symphonique de la Garde républicaine (Bastien Stil), Ensemble Matheus (Jean-Christophe Spinosi), Artaserse (Philippe Jaroussky), Les Arts Florissants (William Christie), and Ensemble Stradivaria (Daniel Cuiller).

Combining tradition and innovation, he founded Vox 21 in 2016, his own vocal ensemble. He also conducts the Chœur symphonique du COGE (Chœurs et Orchestres des Grandes Écoles) and serves as associate conductor of the children’s and youth choirs of the Orchestre de Paris. As a guest or assistant conductor, he collaborates with the City of London Schools' Camerata, the choir of Ensemble Matheus, the orchestra of the Festival de Saorge, the Accentus choir, and Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu.

His passion for composition has led him to work notably with the vocal quartet Aesthesis, Woodkid, and the Orchestre du Printemps, for whom he has written several arrangements and new works. His catalogue includes pieces for a cappella choir, chamber music, and works for large ensembles.

The various projects in which Evann takes part have led him to perform on stages across France and Europe, including the Philharmonie de Paris, the Palais de Tokyo, the Accor Arena Bercy, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Théâtre du Châtelet, the Opéra Royal de Versailles, the Musiktheater an der Wien, the Halle E+G in Vienna, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Moscow Philharmonic, the Culturgest in Lisbon, and the Teatro Central in Seville.
