Emma Girard
Upholsterer
Biography
Artist in residence at the Academy since September 2026
Emma Girard holds a vocational baccalaureate in Crafts and Arts Professions, specializing in upholstery. She continued her training with the Compagnons du Devoir from 2022 to 2024, a period during which she deepened her knowledge of traditional upholstery techniques and furniture restoration.
She has developed her skills in upholstery and restoration within various Parisian workshops. She currently works in a designer furniture restoration workshop at the Puces de Saint-Ouen.
Emma Girard joined the Academy of the Paris National Opera in September 2026.
