Biography
Dorothée Merg hails from Frankfurt, Germany. She began her training in 1985 with a tailor in Frankfurt. After graduating in 1988, she designed costumes for film and television. She joined the Frankfurt Ballet directed by William Forsythe in 1989. In 2005, she became Head of Couture at the Forsythe Company. At the same time, she designed costumes for independent ballet and theater companies. Today, she works for the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company.
