Biography

Born in Canada, D.M. Wood. designs lighting for opera and theatre. Among her work in opera are: Dead Man Walking (English National Opera); Eugene Onegin (Royal Ballet and Opera, London); The Marriage of Figaro (Bayerische Staatsoper); La Bohème (Malmö Opera, Minnesota Opera); Polifemo (Opéra national du Rhin); Die Walküre (RDO, GNO); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Garsington Opera, Santa Fe Opera); The Rape of Lucretia (RBO, Snape Maltings); La traviata (Norwegian National Opera); Arminio, Susanna, Berenice, 4.48 Psychosis (RBO); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Opéra Orchestre National de Montpellier); La Juive (Grand Théâtre de Genève); Edmea, Le Songe d’une nuit d’été, I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Medea, Margherita, Risurrezione, Salomé, Silent Night and Don Bucefalo (Wexford Festival Opera); La Favorite (Houston Grand Opera); Les Enfants Terribles (Opera Omaha); Le Songe d’une nuit d’été (Deutsche Oper Berlin).
