Biography
Guitarist Daniel Lippel has built a multifaceted career both on stage and in the studio. He has premiered more than one hundred solo and chamber works, many of them written especially for him. He has given recitals at the National University of Córdoba, the Boston Conservatory, the Sinus Ton Festival, the National University of Colombia, as well as with classical guitar associations in New York and Cleveland.
He has also appeared in concert at the Mostly Mozart Festival (New York), TIME:SPANS (New York), and at the festivals of Ojai, Ottawa, Adelaide, and Aspekte.
He has been a member of the International Contemporary Ensemble since 2006, and of counter)induction since 2019. He has also been invited to perform with numerous ensembles, including the Talea Ensemble, the New York New Music Ensemble, Ensemble Dal Niente, and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. In addition to his own label New Focus Recordings, his performances are available on Kairos, Bridge, Sony Japan, Tzadik, and New World Records.
