Rehearsal pianist assigned to choreographic studies
The Paris Opera is organizing a recruitment competition for a rehearsal pianist (female/male) assigned to choreographic studies.
1 permanent contract position
Competition date: Tuesday January 20th 2026 (times to be confirmed) at the Palais Garnier
Applications must be submitted exclusively on the MUVAC website.
Application deadline: Monday December 29th 2025, at 11.59pm
COMPETITION PROGRAMME
The competition will proceed as follows:
1st round: two mandatory works from the repertoire
- Chopin – Prélude op. 28 n°16 : 1’10
- Ravel – Le Tombeau de Couperin - II. Fugue : 3’30
2nd round: A mandatory work from the repertoire of the Ballet to be reduced and a mandatory work from the repertoire of the Ballet that may be conducted by a conductor.
- Sibelius - Concerto pour violon et orchestre en ré mineur op. 47 – 3e mouvement : Allegro, ma non tanto
- Poulenc - Concerto pour deux pianos et orchestre en ré mineur – 1er mouvement : Allegro ma non troppo
3rd round: a sight-reading and possible interview with jury members
