Chae Hoon Baek studied singing at Kosin University in Busan before joining the International Academy of Music in Rome, where he earned his diploma as a lyrical singer and choir conductor. He is also a graduate of the Conservatory of Campo Basso.
He joined the Chorus of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome and was the winner of various singing competitions in Rome, Naples, and Ciampino between 2002 and 2005. As a soloist, he has performed in concert in England, Japan, and South Korea, and in 2007, at the Opéra National du Rhin (role of a Trojan in Idomeneo). He has also performed in operas such as La Bohème, La Traviata, Don Giovanni, L’Élixir d’amour.
Since 2010, he has been a member of the Paris Opera Chorus.
