Biography

While working as an architect, Caroline Bibas started her music studies with Isabel Garcisanz at the Conservatoire of the 16th arrondissement in Paris, then with Daniel Petrovitch, before completing her training in Baroque music with Françoise Semellaz.

Her stage appearances include Nicole (Le Bourgeois gentilhomme) at the Dinard Baroque Music Festival, Vincenette (Mireille) in Paris and Rouen, Isolier (Count Ory), Nicklausse (The Tales of Hoffmann), Rosina (The Barber of Seville), Siebel (Faust) at the Cortot hall, and took part in the production of Der Freischütz under the baton of Myung Whun Chung.

In 2001, she joined the Paris Opera Chorus. She regularly performs recitals and oratorios, and recently sang Rossini’s a Little Solemn Mass, Pergolèse’s Stabat Mater, Offenbach’s Périchole, Metella (La Vie parisienne) and Carmen at the Bazoches Festival.
