Graduated in piano and voice from the G. Martucci Conservatory in Salerno, Biagio Pizzuti trained with Rolando Panerai, Renato Bruson, and Alessandro Corbelli, as well as at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He has won first prizes at the As.Li.Co Competition, the Spoleto International Competition, and the “Toti Dal Monte” Competition.
He has recently distinguished himself in roles such as Filippo (Béatrice di Tenda) at the Itria Valley Festival; Ping (Turandot) and Lelio Chinguetta (Il Parlatore Eterno) at the Arena di Verona; Prosdocimo (Il Turco in Italia) and Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Royal Opera of Wallonia; Malatesta (Don Pasquale) and Lescaut (Manon Lescaut) at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; Leporello (Don Giovanni) at the Teatro di Reggio Emilia; Belcore (L’Elixir d’amour) at the Glyndebourne Festival; Conte Gil (Il segreto di Susanna) at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari; Marcello and Schaunard (La Bohème) at the Gstaad Festival, the Palais des Festivals in Baden-Baden, the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, the Opéra de Rome, the Teatro Regio in Turin, and the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte) at the Norwegian National Opera; and Nottingham (Roberto Devereux) at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna.
Debut at the Paris Opera.
