Andreu Fàbregas

Biography
Born in 1987, Andreu Fàbregas grew up surrounded by concert halls, museums, and theatres. He later joined the team at Cube.bz, where he immersed himself in lighting design, drawing inspiration in particular from Bob Wilson, James Turrell, Studio Olafur Eliasson, and Nonotak Studio. Through the dramaturgy of light and space, Andreu Fàbregas seeks to convey images and sensations, and to create a narrative through lighting design in theatrical spaces, visual arts, and installations.
Cube.bz is dedicated to exploring all types of media in which light can emerge as an independent element, through collaborations with other artists and disciplines as well as direct commissions. Andreu Fàbregas Studio has collaborated with Franc Aleu, C. Tangana, Maria Arnal, Ayax y Prok, Carlus Padrissa, Nueveojos, Vaikonur—Ester Guntin, and Pau Massalo, among others.
