Biography

Soprano Andrea Carroll, born in the United States, Guatemala, and Austria, has appeared as Zerlina (Don Giovanni) at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Adina (L'Élixir d'amour) at the Vienna State Opera and the Norwegian National Opera, Pamina (The Magic Flute) with the Houston Grand Opera and the Dallas Opera, She has also performed as Leïla in Les Pêcheurs de perles with the Houston Grand Opera, as Musetta in La Bohème with the San Diego Opera, as Mélisande in Pelléas et Mélisande and as Adèle in Le Comte Ory with the Garsington Opera, and as Micaëla in Carmen with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

In recent seasons, Carroll debuted at London's Royal Opera House as Musetta and was invited back to perform as Norina in Don Pasquale at the Vienna State Opera and La Scala in Milan, as well as Nannetta in Falstaff at the Houston Grand Opera. Carroll has also performed the role of Woglinde in Das Rheingold and Götterdämmerung at La Scala in Milan. She made her debuts at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and the San Francisco Opera as Musetta and at the Semperoper in Dresden as Hänsel. Carroll has also performed with the Minnesota Orchestra and the PKF-Prague Philharmonia.

In concert, she made her debut with the Orchestre National de Lille, at the Ravinia Festival, and with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in the role of Ilia (Idomeneo) under the baton of James Conlon. She also returned to San Diego Opera for a concert with tenor Joshua Guerrero. During the 2025–2026 season, her engagements include Zerlina at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Gretel at the Semperoper Dresden, and Gilda (Rigoletto) at the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto.
