Amine Boussa

Biography
Born in Algiers, Amine discovered breakdancing in 2001. Spotted by the National Ballet of Algiers, he quickly turned professional. His encounter with Kader Attou, with whom he would work for many years, took him beyond borders. Driven by a desire for freedom, to amplify his voice and artistic approach, he founded the Chriki’Z Company. Had he not discovered dance, Amine would have pursued Fine Arts.
This likely explains why he developed a pictorial and aesthetic body of work early on, breaking away from the codes of the language he came from. His meeting with Jeanne Azoulay deeply challenged and enriched his artistic path, to the point that they decided to co-sign their creative work with two voices. Other artistic encounters—such as those with Andres Marin, the musicians of the Ivana Ensemble from Rajasthan, and director Matthieu Roy—further reinforced his desire to push the boundaries between artistic disciplines.
